Disclaimer
All content on Fitness Yoga Asana is for general information and education.
Not medical advice
Our pages do not diagnose, treat or replace care from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified professional. If you have an injury, a long-term condition, high blood pressure, heart disease, a hernia or are pregnant, ask your doctor which practices are safe for you before you begin.
Practise within your limits
Stop any pose or breathing practice that causes sharp pain, dizziness, numbness, chest discomfort or breathlessness. Learning with a qualified teacher is the safest way to begin, especially for inversions, deep back bends and forceful breathing.
Traditional practices
Mudras, chakras and some yogic cleansing practices are described as they appear in tradition. Scientific evidence for many of these is limited, and our pages say so.
Calculators
The calorie estimator gives a rough figure from a standard formula and is not a measurement.
Not an official site
Fitness Yoga Asana is an independent site. It is not linked to any government body, yoga institution or the organisers of International Day of Yoga.
